AZL establishes a Workgroup on High-Performance SMC

AZL Aachen GmbH has established a Workgroup on High-Performance Sheet Molding Compound (SMC). Within an initial AZL Workshop more than 60 participants from the industry – including several automotive OEMs such as Audi, BMW, Ford, Hyundai, MAN, Toyota and Volkswagen – defined research and development topics for the future AZL Workgroup. AMAC´s partner Katcon acquires Exclusive License for Composite Automotive Body Parts from Magna Steyr

With effect of January 2016, the Mexican-based Automotive specialist Katcon Advanced Materials (Katcon) and Magna Steyr (Magna), a leading global, brand-independent engineering and manufacturing partner to automakers signed a 10-year-agreement regarding the exclusive license of Magna ́s „Crush Core Wetpressing technology for class- A-surface“ for the mass-production of Automotive body parts in Europe and the Americas. Composites Germany re-elects Chairman and Executive Management and sets objectives for 2016
