On April 11th 2019, the AZL invites interested companies to join the AZL Open Day and take part in nine guided tours to the lightweight institutes of the RWTH Aachen Campus, which present their technologies and equipment along the entire value chain. Interested participants will have the possibility to see the machinery halls of the institutes and the Production Engineering Cluster, where AZL provides large-scale equipment and co-working spaces for partner companies. Conbility GmbH (Aachen, Germany) has announced that its PrePro 3D tape placement and winding applicator has been installed at the Technology Center AIMEN (O Porriño, Spain). At the ICC-congress in Stuttgart in early November 2018, AVK has published their market report. The GRP sector is recording its sixth consecutive year of growth. Germany remains the largest GRP/composites manufacturer in Europe with a total production volume of 229,000 tonnes although growth here is slightly lower than the trend for the overall European market.
